The problem
Business cards are still printed by the billions, and most of them end up in a drawer or a bin within days. They go out of date the moment you change jobs, run out right before the meeting that matters, and can't point to where your work actually lives: your LinkedIn, your GitHub, your portfolio.
Digital alternatives haven't fixed this. Most of them ask both people to install the same app or create an account, which is exactly the friction a business card was meant to remove.
Our solution
toPass uses the one place every smartphone already has: the wallet. In under a minute you paste a profile link, add your name, title, company, photo and logo, and get a signed pass with a QR code. Open it from the lock screen; the other person scans it with their camera and your profile opens. They don't need to install anything.

Why now
Wallet apps have quietly become the place people keep what matters: tickets, boarding passes, keys, IDs. Scanning a QR code with a phone camera is second nature everywhere. And as work becomes more remote and events more hybrid, a person's professional identity is increasingly an online profile, not a printed address. toPass sits right at that intersection.
Where we're going
The free product for individuals is our foundation. Next on the roadmap:

What we stand for
Privacy by design
We don't store your details. A pass is built and handed to you; we keep only anonymous counts of which service a QR code points to.
Safe by default
QR codes only lead to profile pages on an allow-list of trusted services, never to arbitrary links. A toPass card can't be turned into a phishing tool.
Zero friction
No accounts, no apps, no paywall for individuals. If making a card takes more than a minute, we've failed.
